“I believe the adults in any community are inherently charged with being the guardian of a child’s spirit, when that child’s parents or family situation fails them in that way, until that situation can be remedied or the child is old enough to find their own way. CASA is a vehicle by which I can meet that charge, by supporting the advocates who are doing a job that I personally couldn’t do, fighting in the trenches for the best interest of the children in our community who need our help.”
