WCCASA Volunteers Awarded the Liberty Bell Award!

The Williamson County Bar Association awarded this year's Liberty Bell Award to the wonderful volunteers of Williamson County CASA. The award was presented to Executive Director, Chris Barnhill at the 2011 Law Day Celebration held on Friday, May 6, 2011. The Liberty Bell Award is a prestigious award that recognizes continued commitment to promote a better understanding of and respect for our Constitution and Laws. The volunteers of Williamson County CASA were deeply touched and honored by this award.

“Our volunteer advocates work extremely hard and devote a lot of time to the children of the Williamson County Juvenile Court System who are in need of our services. Last year alone, our volunteers donated nearly 5,000 hours of their lives and drove over 26,000 miles. It’s incredible the passion they have and the work they do...and, for nothing in return I might add. They do it all out of the pure goodness of their hearts.” says Program Director, Heather Watkins. “I think it’s a huge deal to them that they were awarded with this honor. They appreciate that their commitment and dedication is being noticed here in our community.”
