CASA will be holding our next Advocate Training class beginning May 5th 2012 @ CASA Office

Training is by invitation only, please submit an application to be considered. Below is our training schedule:

Session 1: Introducing the CASA Volunteer Role & Session 4: Understanding Families- Part I
Saturday, May 5th- 9:00 am- 4:00 pm (One Hour Lunch Break)
Session 2: Law, Child Protection System and the Courts
Tuesday, May 8th- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Session 3: Developing Cultural Competence
Thursday, May 10th- 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (Snacks provided)
Session 5: Understanding Families - Part II & Session 6: Understanding Children
Saturday, May 12th- 9:00 am– 4:00 pm
Session 7: Communicating as a CASA Volunteer
Tuesday,May 15th- 5:30 pm– 8:30 pm (Snacks provided)
Session 8: Practicing the CASA Volunteer Role - Gathering Information
Thursday, May 17th - 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (Snacks provided)
Session 9: Practicing the CASA Volunteer Role - Reporting & Monitoring & Session 10: Pulling it All Together
Saturday, May 19th- 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (One Hour Lunch Break)
Court Observation & Tour of Juvenile Court
Tuesday, May 22nd- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Graduation: Swearing In Ceremony!
Tuesday, May 22nd - 1:00 pm at Williamson County Juvenile Court
Training will be held in Franklin, at the CASA Office
